I had every intention of studying pre-modern Japanese History, but discovered that none of the history professors were interested in teaching that topic or had just done so and were on to something else. <br /><br />However...<br /><br />There were two professors there, one an expert on puppet theatre and the other on kabuki who were very enthusiastic about Japanese Theatre and ready to teach.
